Edible/Medicinal Plants Foraging Workshop

June 7, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT

$80.00

This one-day workshop will focus on learning about some of the many edible & medicinal plants that are found during the late spring/early summer.  Many of the common plants around us can be used for food and medicine.  Time will  also be spent discussing  how these plants can be used for survival and wilderness living skills.

We will focus on learning about many of  the native and non-native plants in our area and gain hands on and ‘eyes’

on experience in the process.  We take extra time to discuss how we can be good caretakers and stewards of the land and share many important wild crafting ethics and considerations in the process.   It is important that we learn the plants that are at risk and should not be used unless in dire need.

This workshop will cover how to identify edible, medicinal, and poisonous plants in the field, ethical wild crafting, how to use field guides and proper harvesting/preparation techniques.  If you have an interest in learning to forage for edible & medicinal plants, then this workshop is for you.
