Utilitarian Uses of Plants Workshop 2017

September 9, 2017 @ 9:00 am - September 10, 2017 @ 5:00 pm EDT

$275.00

This class is one of our Plants Apprenticeship weekends that we open to the public to get a ‘feel’ for the program. It is also designed as a stand-alone class in learning about the utilitarian uses of plants.

We look at plants from the perspective of wilderness living skills.  We will spend time learning how to make a minimum of 3 different baskets, cordage/rope making, grass mats, how to harvest and make pitch glue, and many other skills.  It is a great time to come and learn how we can use the plants that surround us to provide many of the things we would need if we lived in a wilderness setting.

There is an option of staying overnight for this weekend class. Please bring a lunch for yourself for both Saturday and Sunday.
